Weddings by Cooper are inspired while planning weddings in Auckland, Northland and the Bay of Islands, three of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand.  What better place to tie the knot.

Destination Auckland

Destination Auckland

Auckland is known as the “City of Sails” after the local’s affinity with the sea.  Surrounded by water Auckland is located on a narrow isthmus between the Waitemata and Manukau Harbours.
Auckland is a vibrant playground for anyone keen to enjoy the outdoors and boasts some of New Zealand’s most spectacular views, natural beauty and scenery and is sure to make your wedding one to remember.

Auckland has something for everyone from the sparkling waters and emerald islands of the Hauraki Gulf, the spectacular rainforest covered hill’s, dozens of dormant volcanoes and black sand beaches to the beautiful vineyards, parks and reserves.

Auckland's temperate climate, easy access to the coast, wonderful shopping, exquisite dining and variety of activities consistently earns this city a top five ranking in international lifestyle surveys.  Discover for yourself why Auckland is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to a destination for your special day.

Destination Northland

Destination Northland

Northland stretches from the vineyards and wineries immediately North of Auckland (Rodney & Kaipara Districts) through to Cape Reinga, where the Tasman Sea merges with the Pacific Ocean.  Perhaps the most favoured destinations along the way are the Rodney District, Kaipara District and Bay of Islands.

Rodney District
Only 30 minutes from Auckland along the new Northern Gateway, Rodney District is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city.  Renowned for its rugged wild surf beaches to the west (Muriwai) and its tranquil white sand beaches to the east (Omaha & Tawharanui) Rodney District is a land of contrasts.  Here you will find some of New Zealand's finest vineyards, small character cafés, wonderful markets, marine reserves and excellent galleries run by local artists.

Small villages nestle among peaceful rural landscapes, with easy access to relaxing regional parks and long stretches of stunning coastline.

For an intimate affair in picturesque landscapes look no further than Leigh, Matakana, Kumeu, Helensville and Gulf Harbour to fulfil your dream wedding.

Kaipara District
Approximately 1.5 hours north of Auckland the magical essence of the Kaipara Districts colourful past is preserved in historic buildings and places that are waiting for you.  There is miles of coastline that remains untouched, an aquatic paradise with pristine beaches such as Mangawhai Heads.

This area is a truly amazing playground to be shared and enjoyed by everyone. The diversity of the environment in this area, allows you to sample some of the worlds freshest and finest seafood such as shellfish and snapper delivered straight to your table.

Discover the rugged beauty of the Wild West coast at Baylys Beach with its great sand dunes and wild surf. Further North, you will discover the white sandy beaches and sparkling fresh waters of the Kai Iwi Lakes and Pouto Point in Kaipara Harbour.

For a wedding with a point of difference take the time to travel north and experience the best on offer.
